Hello All,
I hope you had a Merry Christmas, and for the Jewish community, a Happy Hanukkah. With the new year upon us I want to give you an update on what is on the horizon for Rolling Thunder Remembered (RTR) in 2025.
Firstly, the partnership with Task Force Omage continues to expand. Many additional summaries have been posted in the last few weeks and another batch is scheduled to drop next week. Please visit the TFO page to view these very informative summaries. In addition to individual case files I also plan on posting documentation supporting the argument that the American government has never been fully forthcoming, nor transparent, on the thousands of men who remain missing from the long engagement in Southeast Asia. When President Nixon declared in early 1973 that all POWs had come home it was a lie, and he knew it.
Secondly, while old timers like me prefer the written word, I recognize that millennial and gen-z generations prefer a more contemporary approach to learning. Therefore beginning this summer/fall RTR will begin publishing monthly/bi-monthly podcasts. Initial episodes will focus on the case files of Task Force Omega with subsequent episodes covering significant but lesser-known events during the Vietnam war.
Finally, while I will never ask for cash donations to keep RTR up and running, a reminder that every purchase made through the Rolling Thunder Remember Store on Etsy helps maintain this web site and fund the addition of new features.
