TASK FORCE OMEGA SUMMARIES

Task Force Omega (TFO) was one of the largest, and longest-running, POW-MIA research and advocacy organizations in the United States. It was founded in 1983 by Colonel Earl Hopper Sr. (USA, ret.) whose son Earl Hopper, Jr. USAF was declared MIA on 10 January 1968 after the F-4 is which he was flying as WSO was shot down over North Vietnam. Colonel Hopper ran TFO with his wife, Patti Hopper, until his passing on 11 July 2008 aged 86. Patti has graciously granted me permission to post individual summaries of TFO files on Rolling Thunder Remembered so those who were taken prisoner, died in service of their country, or remain missing, are never forgotten.

TFO case summary postings are a compilation of research material from individual files. Complete files may be made available to credentialed researchers and writers, as well as verified family members, on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us for more information by email or via the contact form located at bottom of page.
